Thomas Zikos is a filmmaker and cinematographer based in Athens, Greece.
He studied Economics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a postgraduate degree in Auditing and Applied Accounting from the University of Macedonia, before turning to photography and cinema. He trained in architectural photography at Leica Academy and filmmaking at Stavrakos Film School in Athens.

As a Director of Photography, he has lensed award winning shorts and commercials, including Or How to Disappear (Golden Athena - Athens International Film Festival 2025, Best Student Film & Best Actor - Drama International Short Film Festival 2025), Earthbound (Best Screenplay - Drama International Short Film Festival 2024) and From Rust To Glory (Nominated - International Motor Film Awards 2025)His still photography has been trusted by leading publications such as Vogue Greece and Condé Nast Traveller, showcased on Archisearch, The Greek Foundation and exhibited at the Benaki Museum.

As a Director, his music video Morning Star for Rosey Blue won Best Music Video at the 2025 Europe Music Video Awards, Best Actor at the International Music Video Awards, screened at Psarokokalo Festival and AIMAFF (Honorable Mention).

He approaches cinematography as a way to translate memory and emotion into light, shaping images that carry both fragility and strength.

His training includes the ARRI Academy (Trinity 2/Artemis 2) in Munich and Lighting Fundamentals with Craig Gambell in London,  the ASC Masterclass in Los Angeles with Linus Sandgren ASC FSF, Wally Pfister ASC, Autumn Durald Arkapaw ASC, Edu Grau ASC AEC, and film workshops with the Greek Society of Cinematographers. In 2025 he was invited by Canon Europe, in collaboration with Manios Cinetools and DK Rental, to present his experimental film I Had This Dream. and discuss his creative process at a special masterclass in Athens.
